The iris nevus are tumors composed of melanocytes of the stroma without having morphological characteristics of malignancy. It is located in the superficial layers of the iris and its size usually does not exceed 4 mm.
It usually does not affect the pupillary border or the trabecular meshwork, so it does not usually produce alterations in pupil shape or glaucoma.
